Florida Tech Stays on the Forefront of the Internet Marketing Revolution With a New Mini MBA
Unique Program Joins Florida Tech’s MBA in Internet Marketing to Help Business Leaders Stay Ahead of the Marketing Paradigm Shift
Tuesday, July 12, 2011
Coming off last year’s highly successful launch of the first-ever MBA in Internet Marketing, Florida Institute of Technology now unveils a new Mini MBA For-Credit Graduate Certificate with a specialization in Internet Marketing. Understanding the needs of today’s busy professionals, and in keeping with a commitment to video-based elearning, Florida Tech’s new program provides a broad business perspective and specialized knowledge within an accelerated format – 100% online. The timing could not be better, with eMarketer expecting $180 billion in e-commerce purchases and $30 billion in Internet ad spending by 2012.
Florida Tech’s Mini MBA provides students with a resume-building credential from a regionally accredited, U.S. News & World Report ranked university in as little as eight months. The Mini MBA online certificate allows students to take the same graduate-level courses as those pursuing a traditional MBA – a key advantage when highlighting the credential on a resume. It also earns students 12 semester credit hours, so if they decide to pursue the MBA in Internet Marketing, or any other Florida Tech MBA in the future, they’re already 1/3 of the way there.
Along with advancing students’ business acumen across all disciplines, both the MBA and the new Mini MBA provide crucial Internet marketing knowledge, from social media and SEO to analytics and e-commerce. With a 2010 eMarketer report expecting 75% growth in Internet ad spending by 2014, knowledge in the field is critical for success. “Internet marketing, social marketing… the rules have changed. How we communicate, interact, market and sell – things are not the same as they were even just a year ago,” says Adrian Marrullier, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for University Alliance, which connects students to top-ranked universities. “It’s about being online, all the time. Today’s businesses are so reliant on technology that any successful business leader must possess these skills in order to survive and compete.”
As with other Florida Tech degree and graduate programs, students will engage in highly collaborative e-learning, with acclaimed professors guiding them as they immerse themselves in the remarkable world of Web 2.0. Students can learn to apply social media, mobile and other emerging technologies as marketing and promotional tactics, and can discover how to build effective online marketing strategies and campaigns. They can also master various web analytics tools to track and measure the success of campaigns, while learning to foresee obstacles and opportunities within the global digital marketing environment.
Admission for the online Mini MBA For-Credit Graduate Certificate with a specialization in Internet Marketing is on a rolling basis. For more details, and to discover how it can help you achieve your professional and personal goals, visitwww.floridatechonline.com.
