Developing and sustaining high-performance work teams is the top workplace challenge, according to a 2017 survey conducted by Ivy Exec, sponsored by Florida Tech. The best way to deal with this issue? Strong leadership, clear goals and empowerment.
The survey, which had 327 management to senior level respondents with up to 20 years of experience, focused on critical management challenges like the recruitment pipeline, job satisfaction, employee retention, change management and diversity initiatives. The respondents, who work in industries ranging from healthcare to technology, also answered questions on leadership characteristics and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
