Are you ready to celebrate 60 years of Panther Pride? Florida Tech’s 2018 is celebrating the university’s 60th anniversary at this year’s Homecoming. There is a lot to commemorate! From being top-ranked in the state for best ROI to being named a Tier 1 Best National University by U.S. News, Homecoming provides on-campus and online students the chance to pause and be proud of their alma mater.
Homecoming this year has so many events online students can participate in, both on-campus and virtually. Here are some of the highlights:
5K Run/Walk – Thursday, October 11th
The annual FIT Homecoming 5k Run/Walk is back! Starting in Downtown Melbourne at 6 p.m., this 5K rewards participants with a party at Meg O’Malley’s for crossing the finish line. Not able to make it to Melbourne? You can participate in our virtual 5K! No matter where you run, you’ll get a free t-shirt. Interested?
Homecoming Fest – Friday, October 12
Get ready to party! The Homecoming Fest has street vendors, drinks, food and a free concert featuring Cold War Kids, all located in Downtown Melbourne. The fun starts at 6 p.m.
Online Student/Alumni Tailgate – Saturday, October 13th
You’ve spoken to each other over discussion board posts – now it’s time to meet in real life! Our first annual online student/alumni tailgate is the best way to prepare for the big game. Starting at 11 a.m., we’ll provide the foods, drinks and even tickets to the game! Be sure to RSVP now for this exclusive event.
Homecoming Football Game – Saturday, October 13th
The claws will be out at this year’s annual homecoming game. Watch as the Panthers blaze past the Valdosta State Blazers Saturday, October 13th at 1 p.m. You can watch the game live at the Panther Stadium or on any streaming device online here.
